50,000 SQUARE FOOT INDOOR SKATE PARK

“Now THIS is a skate park!” –Chris Dobstaff, Osiris Aftermath tour June 2002.
“Most fun park ever!” –Todd Richards, Quicksilver Snowboarding tour October 2002.

Rye Airfield is New England’s premiere indoor skate park.   Our indoor skate park was designed and built by Jack Murphy Productions (designers of The Gravity Games) with the consultation of former Pro Skater, Dave Duncan.  This year round facility has 50,000 square feet and features everything you’ve dreamed about riding or skating all under one roof.

For transition enthusiasts, we have a 64 foot wide, 121⁄2  foot vert ramp with 2 feet of vert and several extensions ranging from 131⁄2 to 141⁄2 feet and a 17 foot roll-in complete with channel.  It’s the mother of all public indoor vert ramps.

If you’re looking to slap some concrete you’ve come to the right place.  We’ve got not one, not two, but three concrete bowls.  The Beginner bowl houses friendly steel coping and a smooth roll-in for those just starting out.  You can step up a notch in the Intermediate bowl, which goes from 61⁄2 to 5 to 71⁄2  feet deep.  Our pro pool however is not for the meek.  Complete with perfect pool coping all the way around, the pro pool has a 6 foot shallow end, a 101⁄2 foot deep end and is perfect for finding out just how good your knee pads are.

If street is more your thing, don’t worry.  Our GIGANTIC pro street area has plenty of standard ramps like quarters, straight banks, hips, ledges and rails as well as unique features such as a rainbow-shaped ledge, half-volcano, step-up jump box and our granite wall with 31⁄2  feet of vert and rock solid New Hampshire granite for coping.  Hangar One’s Intermediate street area has everything you’d want in a mid-sized street course with banks, quarters, a 3 sided pyramid, ledges and rails.  It’s the perfect place to refine your skills.  And for the groms, there are plenty of scaled down and super fun ramps in the Beginner street course.

Our one-of-a-kind wooden clover bowl is like nothing you’ve ever seen.  Shaped like a 3 leaf clover, the wooden bowl is 6’ deep with an 8’ extension complete with escalator.  It’s completely carveable and super fast.

We didn’t forget about the bikes either.  Bikes have access during every single session at Rye Airfield (excluding the concrete pools and beginner and intermediate street areas).  We also have a bike specific corner of the park.  Our bike area has two huge bank ramps, an array of quarters and spines as well as a fly box and wall ride.

Even our mini ramp has something for everyone: a 53⁄4 foot spine for more skilled riders and skaters, a 43⁄4 foot section and a 3 foot channel.
Equipped with food concessions, restrooms, pad rentals, function rooms, and shower rooms Rye Airfield is designed to accommodate Pro Exhibition Tours, Video Shoots, Contests, Private Parties and Music Events featuring live bands and D.J.'s.

BMX SUPER TRACK
Rye Airfield’s Outdoor BMX Super Track is a National Bicycle League, 1,300 foot long and all downhill. It is the ONLY BMX track in New Hampshire.
Designed by Jack Bontorno and built by the NBL's Tom Ritzenthaller with support from Rye Airfield, this international caliber outdoor track is built to host national, regional, state and local competitions, including Granite State Nationals on August 2, 2002.
Open from spring thaw to first snow the BMX Super Track is a winding obstacle course that includes paved berms, jumps, rollers, huge doubles, triples, and table tops that will challenge any rider's skills.
Rye Airfield's Super Track events are action packed and monitored by the NBL rules of competition to ensure fair and safe racing events.

OUTDOOR DIRT AREA
We are currently looking for ideas on what to do with the outdoor dirt area. Thoughts have ranged from building a combination of wood and dirt structures to all wood. Think low maintenance and get in touch.
